Radiography & Ultrasound Testing in Stevenson, AL
It can be difficult to understand what is happening when your animal is experiencing pain and discomfort. Through the use of our cutting edge diagnostic tools and blood tests, we are able to spot diseases, parasites, and other existing health problems that are not visible with the naked eye.
Also known as x-rays, radiographs help us diagnose and monitor many different medical and surgical conditions. X-rays have a variety of different uses. They allow our veterinarians and technicians to:
- Determine the size, shape, & location of any abnormalities
- Discern foreign entities in the body
- Diagnose gastrointestinal issues
- Discover bladder stones
- Uncover heart and lung diseases
- And more!
Ultrasounds are a safe and simple way to provide a live image of the inside of your pet. We use this image to diagnose and monitor diseases, such as cardiac illnesses and general biopsies. North Jackson Animal Clinic uses state-of-the-art ultrasound technology in our facility.
When blood, radiograph, ultrasound, and urine tests are not providing the answers we need to properly diagnose your pet, we may rely on endoscopy to give us the information we need. Although it requires anesthesia, endoscopy is a minimally invasive diagnostic procedure that allows us to investigate the internal processes of your pet by assessing their organs.
Video otoscopy is another diagnostic procedure that our veterinarians will use to care for your pet. Using the otoscopy, we are able to capture images of the inside of your pet’s ear.
